This Site:
Backpackability.com is a site looking to define the common travel costs for worldwide destinations. It’s goal is to create an easy to navigate, simple listing of prices and other information for countries and cities all over, so essentially it is a “World Travel Cost Index” and should be helpful when you make your budgets for your international trips and vagagond, backpacking excursions.
The major obstacle to the site will just be gathering accurate data for countries and destinations. This will require emailing people that have been somewhere and lots of googling, message boarding, etc. SOOO if you’ve been somewhere and want to take 15 seconds out of your day to submit data, Please do! Who is developing this travel site:
Nick. I’m the owner/operator of a fairly well established blogish budget travel site over at BudgetGlobetrotting.com. I really like my site, and when I got this idea for creating a simple travel cost index, I figured it’d be best to have it as a standalone site. But when you’re looking for other budget travel ideas, tips, and resources check me out at BudgetGlobetrotting.com.
As for me, I’m a sophomore college student majoring in Finance who likes markets, politics, web development, sports, sustainability, international anything, entrepreneurship annnd traveling.
