New Zealand Travel Living Costs

If you’ve seen Lord of the Rings and still do not want to got to New Zealand you may not be human. New Zealand is one of the pristine travel destinations left that offers amazing scenery and a host of outdoor and adventure activities. With majestic mountains and beautiful quaint cities New Zealand is a favorite among adventure seeking backpackers, although it is not the most budget friendly destination.

New Zealand Travel Costs

  • Average meal - $7 for fast food
  • Restaurant food - $20+
  • Beer - $4 for a pint
  • Hostel dorm bed- $25 for single/double, $12 for bunk
  • Transportation - Car rentals about $30/day are best option.
  • Internet - $5.00/hour

More Information

  • Flights - Good
  • Nightlife - Party in urban areas
  • Safety - Very Safe
  • Public Transportation - Okay. Car rental is best option. Train service only in some major cities and there are some ferries as well.

Phuket, Thailand Travel Living Costs

Phuket is one of Thailand’s major travel destinations because of its beautiful beaches, pretty happening nightlife, and amazing scenery (did I say the beaches look gorgeous)? While Phuket is one of the touristy and more developed destinations in Thailand, it can still be experienced for a modest price tag if that’s your goal, since it is Thailand.

Phuket Thailand Travel Costs

  • Average meal - $1.25 is normal
  • Beer - $1.50-3.00, international beers & upscale clubs $3.75
  • Pack of cigarettes - $1.50
  • Hostel dorm bed- $3 possible, but usually $6 and up
  • Transportation - Buses roughly $.60, tuk-tuks around $7, and motorcycle taxis around $1.50
  • Internet - $1.50/hour

  • Nightlife - Party
  • Safety - Be very cautious at night time
  • Public Transportation -decent

Israel Travel Living Costs

The holy land, Israel, is a very stable Middle East country. With a healthy economy, stable government, and very good security and police force it’s a fairly good option for traveling. Not to mention, it is the holy land and the epicenter of world religion today. Looking beyond its historical significance, the country offers a great night life, with a lot of it taking place in Tel Aviv.

  • Average meal - $4.00 street food, $8.00 restaurant
  • Beer - $3.00-5.00 (Goldstar is recommended)
  • Bottle of Water - $2.00
  • Pastry or Croissant - $2.00
  • Coffee- $3.00
  • Hostel dorm bed- $10.00-15.00
  • Transportation - quick taxi $3.00
  • Internet - $3.00/hour

More Information

  • Flights - Okay
  • Nightlife - Big Party - Tel Aviv parties all the time. Beach, clubs, anywhere.
  • Safety - Very Safe, even at night.
  • Public Transportation - Very very good. Student discounts available.
